Detailed Problem Description
Email from Greg:
The below screen shot is of the BW delta queues in ECC and Johnny had sent it our way because he thought that maybe they could be the cause of some of the performance issues in NEP. I already talked to Uday and he said that the MCEX02, MCEX04 and MCEXAF could all be cleared and deactivated because we don’t use them. Just figured I’d give you the FYI and possibly give Uday the “go ahead” to clear and deactivate.
Email from Mark:
I don’t know what these are or why they are there. Will they happen again? Go ahead and clear them if we don’t need them.
Solution Analysis and Recommendations
As seen In the screenshot below, the delta queues MCEX02, MCEX04 & MCEXAF are getting populated daily causing performance issue in NEP for BW loads. The LO applications 02, 04 & AF on which the queues are based were not used in BW. As the extractors on which the queues based are active in LBWE, the postings are getting populated. Hence we need to deactivate the related datasources for applications 02, 04 & AF and also clear the queues in BPD, BPQ and BPP.
Resolution
1. Need to manually delete the existing queues MCEX02, MCEX04 & MCEXAF using TCode LBWQ in NEP.
2. Need to inactivate the extractors on which the queues are based in NECNED.
3. Need to collect the changes into transport request & move them to NECNEQ & NEP.
